Did anyone see The Sharkman documentary on telly? Absolutely amazing. This guy — Michael Rutzen — enjoys swimming off the coast of South Africa with great white sharks, some 15 foot in length.
It doesn’t matter how big or how many there are, because for our Mikey, it’s the more the merrier. You see when he’s in there he likes to play a fun aul game of kiss chase with the most fearsome apex predators of the deep, animals that more resemble freight trains with steak knives for teeth!
But our Mikey, has no qualms, nah, he dives on in, splashes about, massages their noses, hypnotises them and even likes to go for a ride on their feckin’ backs like they’re some fairground attraction!! That is like going into the jungles of India and jumping on a tiger’s back and tickling its belly. You just don’t do it.
We have so much to learn about the beautiful and awe inspiring shark, and so does dear aul Mikey. What a guy. Crazy. He’ll soon be dead. God love him.
