Scene It: T3: Rise of the Machines

I liked T3 more than I disliked it. The blinding ending was a huge factor in me liking it more. In fact, one of my favourite scenes in the whole Terminator franchise was filmed for T3 but didn’t make the cut. Why? Well, see for yourself . . .

Absolutely ridiculous, I think you’ll agree. I’m so glad they cut it.

  2. By the way, I agree with you. I’ve a somewhat irrational admiration for T3, mostly thanks to the ending – and the camp glasses gag. It remains to be seen whether Terminator: Salvation resorts to the reset button once again.

  3. Terminator 4: Salvation will be “A McG Film,” God help us all.

Thus I have no interest in a new Terminator movie, sadly. But it’s not all McG’s fault. I just feel that story was told as best as it could have been over the three movies we’ve had and I would sooner a new franchise was delivered to us, something fresh. Instead Hollywood is giving us another sequel no one asked for.

  4. It’s a new trilogy so Hollywood’s giving us three more sequels that nobody asked for. And, no doubt, three more after that.

Although I stopped caring about this franchise after “Judgment Day,” I must say I found this deleted scene to be quite kickass. Reminded me of Verhoeven’s 80s best. Mostow must be a fan.
